Vintage Gucci GG Plus Cosmetic Case c. Mid-1980s Cream Navy Red

Fifth Avenue in summer, luggage trolleys threading through the crowds, the Gucci web stripe marking passports and carry-ons alike. This mid-1980s cosmetic case comes from the licensing boom years, its blue and cream GG Plus canvas set with a crisp navy leather trim and a single band of navy and red at the zip. The oval leather label inside reads ‘GUCCI PARFUMS made in italy’ in gold, a detail specific to the era when Aldo Gucci’s expansion made the double-G a fixture in jet-set travel.

The silhouette is softly structured, rectangular with rounded corners, and closes with a gold-tone zipper finished in a matching navy leather pull. The interior is lined in blue fabric with a single spacious compartment—room for essentials, but slim enough to slip into a carryall. Minor wear is visible along the leather trim, but the canvas and hardware remain clean and bright. The original dust bag is included.
