Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Canvas Leather Trim Tote c. Late 1980s Brown Beige

A field of tawny canvas bordered with dark brown leather forms this Yves Saint Laurent tote, its proportions generous and the twin handles cut to allow both hand and shoulder carry. The only overt marking is a tan leather patch at the exterior, set with the YSL Cassandre monogram in gold — a logo drawn in 1961 by A. M. Cassandre that needs no introduction and places this bag in the late 1980s to early 1990s, when animal-print canvases and gilt details defined the maison’s accessories.

Gold-tone snap closure secures the open top. The interior is finished in beige fabric with a zip pocket and a slip compartment for smaller items. Light surface scuffing to leather edges and handles; stains present to the lining. No accessories are included, and no serial is visible.
