Paris, late 1970s: the Givenchy studio was quietly shifting toward geometric signatures, and the 4G logo was newly minted across the house’s accessories. This compact bifold wallet carries that moment in its gold-tone logo plaque—a crisp square set flush against finely textured red leather, the surface structured yet supple to the touch.
A gold-tone frame clasp secures the edge, opening to a matching red fabric lining with three card slots and a full-width compartment for notes. The Givenchy logo is stamped within, its presence subtle. There is no interior label visible, but the construction is unmistakably of its era: precise, unfussy, designed for daily use.
The hardware and leather show only minimal handling, the corners and clasp retaining their brightness with barely any marks. This is a product of the Hubert de Givenchy years, when the house favoured clarity and strong lines—visible here in the sharply defined logo plaque and disciplined palette. No accessories accompany the piece.
