Vintage Bottega Veneta Nylon Tote Late 1990s Navy

Northern Italian autumns—light filtering through the windows of a Vicenza workshop, hands working nylon with the same precision once reserved for leather. The navy-blue body of this Bottega Veneta tote is cut in crisp, architectural lines, set off by a geometric silver-tone 'B' plaque at the corner—a rare detail, fleetingly used in the transition between family and new creative direction. The double flat straps offer both handheld and shoulder carry, the silhouette compact yet practical.

Nylon panels are trimmed with smooth black leather, the structure held by neat seams and a silver-tone zip closure. Inside, a black fabric lining is woven with the repeating BV logo, anchored by a leather logo plaque and fitted with a zipped pocket and two slip compartments. The original dust bag is included.

This piece comes from the late Moltedo family and early Tomas Maier era, circa late 1990s to early 2000s, when Bottega Veneta experimented with logo touches before the house turned definitively away from overt branding. The slight wear at the corners is limited to the edges, with all hardware bright and the interior clean.
