Glossy peach patent leather is patterned with Dior’s signature Cannage stitching, the surface catching and scattering light in shifting tones from coral to blush. A gold-tone snap closure anchors the front, paired with a matching keyring and the familiar letter charms that mark Dior’s small leather goods of this period. The single-compartment interior is lined in light peach leather, clean and intact, with the original dust bag included.
Hardware shows only minor surface scratching at the closure, while the exterior patent remains bright and even-toned throughout. No visible logo is present on the outside—a detail in keeping with mid-century Dior accessories—while the serial code is discreetly stamped inside the fold.
The date code places this wallet in 1943, during the early years of the house, decades before the Lady Dior would become a global emblem. The Cannage motif, later revived under John Galliano’s direction, lends an unexpected sense of continuity—an early trace of the graphic language that would come to define Dior’s modern accessories.
