A gold-tone rectangular buckle pierced with Celine’s signature horse-drawn carriage motif anchors this slim black leather belt, its edges softly rounded and the strap marked by gentle creasing from wear. The buckle front is finished in high-polish brass, with 'CELINE' engraved in sans-serif capitals along one side; the reverse reveals a silver-tone base, the two metals meeting in a sharp, architectural line. No size or serial is visible, and the strap shows pronounced surface distress, most evident on the outer face.
The horse-and-carriage—Celine’s “Sulky” emblem—was a fixture of the Céline Vipiana era, appearing across hardware in the late 1970s and 1980s as a symbol of the house’s Parisian origins. Here, the motif is cut directly into the metal, pared back to its outline and set against deep black leather, an approach that defined accessories from this period. The crisp, accent-less ‘CELINE’ engraving further anchors this piece in the brand’s pre-Kors vocabulary.
Constructed for wear at the waist or hips, the belt is unlined, the black leather strap supple but showing scattered areas of damaged material throughout. There are no accompanying accessories.
