Vintage Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Bifold Wallet Late 1990s Dark Brown

Rows of tightly woven nappa leather form the exterior of this dark brown bifold wallet, the signature Intrecciato pattern drawing the eye across its compact, architectural surface. A silver-tone zipper with a leather pull closes one end, the only hardware detail on an otherwise unbranded front. The structure remains crisp, with only a trace of surface scratching at the exterior and clasp.

Inside, the lining is a matching brown, fitted with six card slots and two slip pockets—an arrangement typical of Bottega Veneta’s practical minimalism. The wallet opens smoothly, revealing an understated stamp in serif type and a woven ‘CERTIFICATO DI ORIGINE’ label, cues that place this piece in the late 1990s to early 2000s: a moment when Tomas Maier was newly at the helm, refining the house’s commitment to discretion through fine, small-scale Intrecciato and pared-back logos.
