Givenchy made jewelry before 1970. Neiman Marcus had it for $25.
In 1969, Neiman Marcus sold a Givenchy geometric necklace for $25. Not costume. Not fine. Something in between — gold-tone metal, serious weight, a logo that worked before logos were mandatory. The house opened in 1952. By the 1980s, Bijoux Givenchy ran its own campaign cycle: print ads in magazines, models in Paris and New York, the 4G logo cast in chain link.

The Met holds a Givenchy choker dated 1976 — metal and rhinestones. A second necklace from 1977 combines metal, plastic and rhinestones. Some pieces are literally stamped with the year: GIVENCHY PARIS NEW YORK 1980. Bella Hadid wore vintage Givenchy jewelry in New York in September 2026, sourced from an archive. The chain still works.

The Charme by Givenchy line brought couture jewelry into department stores. The ads show models in white dresses with gold pendants — Eiffelturm in the background, the 4G logo at the top. Not fine jewelry. Designed for daily wear. Made in Paris. Sold in New York.
