A sleeveless top from Issey Miyake's Pleats Please line, cut in solid black and pleated head-to-hem in the label's signature micro-plissé. Issey Miyake opened his Tokyo studio in 1970 and launched Pleats Please in 1993 — a collection that reinvented ready-to-wear by pleating finished garments in heat-set polyester, yielding pieces that travel well, keep their shape and read as both architectural and entirely weightless.

The silhouette is quietly sculptural: a high funnel collar rising into a clean neckline, cut-away armholes and a gently A-line drape falling past the hip. Vertical plissé runs throughout, including along the collar, holding its form through wear and wash.
