Multicolore LV initials in violet, turquoise, orange, and lime punctuate the black Monogram canvas front, the print wrapping every panel in a riot of colour devised by Takashi Murakami. The gold-tone zipper runs the length of one side, its plain pull now detached, framing a silhouette designed for the hand rather than the pocket. Corners and edges show rub-through to the canvas, exposing the lighter base at high-contact points.
Inside, a fuchsia fabric lining sets off the saturated palette, revealing two full-length compartments, multiple card slots, and a zipped coin pocket. The wallet closes with a bifold construction, trimmed in black leather, and comes with its original dust bag. No serial or label is visible.
This piece arrives from the Marc Jacobs era at Louis Vuitton — c. 2003, when Murakami’s Multicolore collaboration upended the house’s visual codes and brought the Monogram into a new, pop-saturated decade. The effect: a wallet that reads as both archive and artefact of early-2000s maximalism.
