Condition Very Good

Madrid, late 1990s—the studio floor scattered with leather swatches, and a gold-tone Anagram buckle waiting to be set into its frame. Here, the old interlocking ‘L’ emblem, designed in 1970 by Vicente Vela, is pressed into a rectangular gold insert bordered by silver-tone metal, anchoring the front of this Loewe belt. The buckle alone bears the Loewe signature; the black leather strap, replaced at some point, shows no house branding—its textured grain offset by a soft beige lining and a precise heat stamp at the reverse.

The construction brings together gold and silver-tone hardware in a single focal point, with the Anagram motif as the only mark of origin. The belt measures 105 cm in length by 2.8 cm wide, fastening through a classic prong closure. The beige leather lining is clean, with only light surface wear to the outer strap noted; hardware remains bright and crisp.

This combination of mixed-metal hardware and the restrained Anagram logo corresponds to Loewe during the late Narciso Rodriguez and early José Enrique Oña Selfa years—an era defined not by overt branding, but by the authority of Spanish leather and the subtle confidence of the house’s emblem.
