Vintage Celine Triomphe Crest Flap Wallet Late 1970s Black

Paris in the late 1970s—Céline’s atelier on Rue François 1er worked in quiet conversation with the city’s stone and ironwork, their motifs distilled into the debossed Triomphe crest pressed into the front of this compact black leather wallet. A gold-tone snap closure anchors the curved flap, its surface free of engraving, catching the light against a deep black grain.

Inside, the construction is pared to function: a single compartment lined in black fabric, flanked by two card slots, the gold foil ‘CELINE PARIS’ stamp set in serif capitals above the Italian serial. The exterior remains supple with minor surface wear, structure unwarped, and corners intact.

Produced under Céline Vipiana’s direction, this era’s signature is written in the Triomphe motif—a reference to the chain links of Place de l’Étoile, rendered here as a crest with the house’s Paris address.
