This vintage Christian Dior evening Bag is constructed of black silk satin in a clean rectangular flap silhouette, finished with the maison's interlocking CD logo turn-lock clasp in gold-tone with black enamel detailing at the front. Founded in Paris in 1947 by Christian Dior, the maison's evening pieces of the 1970s and 1980s leaned into restrained, sculptural minimalism — seen here in this elegant little after-dark bag.

The clutch carries on a removable gold-tone curb-link chain strap, allowing it to be worn over the shoulder or carried as a classic clutch. It opens to a tonal black satin-lined interior with the gold-foil "Christian Dior — Made in France" stamp on the lining.

Condition Details: The black satin exterior is largely intact with light surface dust and minor fibre pilling typical of vintage silk. The most significant flaw is on the interior: the satin lining shows substantial shattering and disintegration around the flap closure, with the underlying backing exposed in places — a classic condition issue with vintage weighted silk linings, best suited for a collector, display piece or relining. The gold-tone curb chain shows visible patina, oxidation and faint green spotting where the brass underneath has emerged. The CD turn-lock clasp on the exterior remains bright, fully functional and structurally crisp.
