Fine strips of tan leather are woven into a compact bifold, the Intrecciato pattern running edge to edge without interruption or visible branding. The exterior closes with a single gold-tone snap, unmarked and minimal, its surface showing only the faintest traces of wear at the corners and a light scratch near the fold. Inside, a beige fabric lining divides three card slots and two open compartments, the palette kept as muted as the exterior.
The small-scale Intrecciato weave and absence of overt logos signal Tomas Maier’s early years at Bottega Veneta, circa 2000–early 2010s, when the house revisited its founding belief that the weave itself was enough. ‘When your own initials are enough’—the mantra of that era—remains visible here in the way the leatherwork stands in for any signature.
Material is supple calfskin, cut into narrow ribbons and handwoven in Vicenza, finished with a plain interior stamp reading BOTTEGA VENETA MADE IN ITALY. The wallet is accompanied by its original box.
