The Etro Paisley started as a textile archive in Milan, 1968. Gimmo Etro collected thousands of patterns before the first bag existed. The bag came twenty years later.
Printed on jacquard-coated canvas, trimmed in cognac leather. Same base cloth since the 1980s. Every colourway is a different archive plate.
How to date an Etro Paisley bag: brass hardware + 'ETRO MILANO' woven label = 1990s–2000s. Pegaso logo on hardware = post-2010.
